Whole Woman Network’s 2018’s first rounds of ESUSU Savings Programs will kicked off on April 15, 2018. (This is strictly by invitation only and open to WWN™ members only). The saving groups are based on the following thresholds: i. $500/month; ii. $1000/month; iii. $2000/month…Unlike the traditional Esusu Saving Program, WWN™ incorporates an investment element, and each recipient gets an agreed upon interest, in addition to their contribution. The rate of returns for each level of contribution is based on several factors, type of investment, risk factors, term etc.
[WWN Esusu savings program is based on an old African system of communal saving. It is a common-sense and community-based approach to building a sustainable SAVING & INVESTMENT habit and culture. We teach integrity, simplicity, authenticity, delayed gratification, kaizen continuous improvement process, quantum goal setting, sustainability, goal-action alignment. It’s part of our Financial Literacy for Women (F.L.O.W) program].
Some financial principles to reflect upon as we get ready to kick off our trainings in the New Year:
Remember, money is simply energy, a symbol of a values exchange. In itself, it is also a metaphor for how we do life. True wealth is not really about WHAT amount you earn, it’s more about HOW you use what you have in a way that aligns with your unique hierarchy of VALUES, whatever that may be, at any given life cycle you find yourself. It is about self-respect, self-resilience, self-responsibility, healthy money habits and mindset, financial independence, stability and freedom…This 2015, revisit, reflect upon and renew your relationship with money (and create a new life based on a holistic concept of financial health and wellness).
Until you learn how to live (with JOY) within your means and ‘save’, you cannot effectively ‘invest’ in a way that fully serves your divine purpose. ‘Saving’ may mean leveraging ‘good debt.’ The often overlooked habit of saving is a metaphor because, first, you ‘save’ or build up your talents/gifts/abilities and competencies (refer to the 10,000-Hour concept by Author Malcolm Gladwell), and then you ‘invest’ and grow them by leveraging joint ventures, hubs, partnerships, relationships, systems and processes…
In the current cultural space where instant gratification is now the norm, it is paramount that we begin to unlearn unhealthy spending habits and re-learn the basic principles and foundations of wealth, which start primarily from saving.
There’s a pivotal resonance level you begin to operate at that attracts the right people and opportunities. Success attracts success. Abundance creates more abundance. You do not attract what you want; rather, you attract WHO you are being. These are Universal principles, and have little or nothing to do with dogma, creed, gender, education, religion, background, and belief system. It is what it is!
The more we have clarity on who and whose we are, the better we are able to exchange our gifts/talents/abilities for commensurate value in our physical universe. When you honour your deep TRUTH and learn to recognize and prioritize your most important values, the choices become clearer and simpler. Stop keeping up with the Joneses, the Joneses are still trying to figure out their own lives!
You work hard and trade time for money, pay attention, and make sure that you’re respecting your hard work and effort. Financial stress often arises from mismatched priorities and behaviour. Make sure you are not trading your health, relationships, time or peace of mind for money! The whole essence of money (when used correctly), is to offer us healthier options and choices. We are to be it’s master and not slaves to it.
Your daily actions reflect and indicate your unconscious priorities. If something is important to you and you are committed to it, you will focus on it! Calibrate on your actions and not on your words. Words are very cheap! Opportunities abound, pay attention to how you use your RESOURCES: Time, Energy, Networks, Gifts, Talents and Abilities.
Everything has value! E.g. If you love gossip, learn from America’s Joan Rivers (RIP), or Nigeria’s Ms. Linda Ikeji, on how to use your gifts as a pathway to success. (Jokes apart, seriously speaking here)! Say what you want about her, (and I may not exactly be a fan of what she’s selling), however, in my books, Kim Kardashian is an expert, infact a genius, at self-promotion, marketing and branding. She’s been able to expand her brand without diluting it, a difficult feat to achieve (even by bigger corporations).
The point I’m making is that you do not have to agree, like or share someone’s principles or way of life in order to learn from them. In fact, I’d even argue that we learn the most from people who trigger or irritate the heck out of us! Begin to pay attention and ‘see’ the world around you through a strictly ‘learning’ pair of lens. Use the right filters. Excellence is a habit. Find people and/or organizations doing things with excellence and simply model after them.
FOCUS on what you need to learn from others and not on people’s ‘faults’ or ‘shortcomings’. If it’s in your space, know that there’s a reason for it. There’s always a way to monetize whatever you’re passionate about. You can contribute more to society and those around you when you live out your fullest potential. Success is a universal concept; government, culture, sex, age, or education etc. does not limit it. It is first and foremost a MINDSET and a way of doing things, consistently over time.
Look for people who are already successful doing what you want to do, forget the ‘drama’ of being judgmental and simply learn from them! The world is a FLAT economy in terms of opportunities; everyone has a big chance at success. YOU get to determine what success is to YOU! Stop arguing for your limitations! The blame game of pointing fingers at government, parents, education, culture, gender, race… is played out. This is the time to think differently and do something different!
Your mindset is the key determinant. It drives your behaviour. HOW you use your TIME is another factor. Where you channel your energy is another thing you must pay attention to. These things combine to create YOUR unique MOTW (Model Of The World). Is your current model/perspective/paradigm serving you well?
Whatever you do and whomever you meet, remember to sow seeds of love, value and service. Dream wonderful dreams and co-create your destiny with God!
