Surround Yourself with the Dreamers and the Doers…..

You are the average“Surround yourself with the dreamers and the doers, the believers and thinkers, but most of all, surround yourself with those who see the greatness within you, even when you don’t see it yourself.” ~Edmund Lee

Here are 7 Quotes and nuggets of wisdom to buttress the need for you to constantly surround yourself with the right people, environment and opportunities.

Greatness can be attained by constantly following others who reflect that which you seek to have. Meditate and Reflect on the following and take ACTION towards a Healthier, Sexier, Wealthier YOU! #BridgingTheIntegrityGap

1.  “Celebrity-worship and hero-worship should not be confused. Yet we confuse them everyday, and by doing so we come dangerously close to depriving ourselves of all real role models. We lose sight of the men and women who do not simply SEEM great because they are famous but are famous because they are great. We come closer and closer to degrading all fame to notoriety. ~ Daniel J. Boorstin

2. “Who and What you stare at and listen to long enough, you begin to look and think like.” ~An old African proverb

3. “You are the average of the five people you spend the most time with.” ~Jim Rohn

life is too short4.  “People inspire you or they drain you, pick wisely!” ~Hans F. Hansen~

5. “Create a set of great personal values and surround yourself with the right people that can form your support system. Have an optimistic spirit and develop a strong purpose that you completely believe in and everything you can imagine is possible, for you.” ~Andrew Horton

6. “If you find yourself at the head of the class, you’re in the wrong class. It’s time to find a new class.” ~John Maxwell

7. “No matter how skillful you are, if you are with the wrong team your star will not shine. You’ll only keep struggling but results will be far from you. Quit ‘Camp Losing’ for ‘Camp Winning’. Surround yourself with a bunch of winners and see yourself winning big.” ~Unknown

Here are my thoughts for creating your own ‘environment’:

todayHave a deep awareness of the environment you’re in, either by choice or by default. Who and What are you surrounding yourself with? Who and What are you constantly watching and listening to, in real life, on the radio, television, internet?

Become more aware of what you allow into your space and what you contribute when you’re in other people’s spaces. Pay attention to all your interactions; meetings, groups, chatrooms, both online and offline. Know when to disconnect and reconnect.

In a fight between you and your environment, chances are your environment often wins! So if your physical universe is strife with corruption, evil and indiscipline, counteract it by reading motivational, inspiring and life-transforming books.

Take little action steps that unplug you from the rot around. Be your own inner light. Lead yourself with integrity and be gentle too. The best time to start is always NOW!

The more you complain and talk about what is NOT right, the more it sucks you in. Stop the blame game, no one ever won it. Look for positive lights in the seeming darkness, seek out other like-minded people who want to make a difference, no matter how small.

FOCUS on what can be and use up your energy to add and create value. Focus on what you want, do not waste your resources on what you do not want. WE create the society of our dreams. Take action on what you know, the path reveals itself with each step. To know better and not do better is an even bigger pain and disservice!

5 peopleLearn to be a fantastic FOLLOWER. Follow great people, follow happy & joyous people, follow wise people, follow people making a meaningful difference.

Follow healthy people, follow ethical people who are wealth & value-creators, follow people who’re beautiful inside-out, follow successful experts in the fields you’re interested in, follow focused people, follow all that is great and wonderful. Follow people that will challenge, motivate and inspire you to ACTION!

It is a fact that their aura will rub off on you because you BECOME that which you constantly surround yourself with.

DO YOU HAVE A CLEAR VISON FOR YOUR LIFE? Are you moving towards or away from the vision you have for yourself? What do you really want out of life? Are you currently living your dream life, career, business, relationships? You have the power of co-creation and transformation, unlock and use it! Assess and check the crowd you’re presently in. Ask yourself honestly: does this crowd serve your purpose, does it align with your ultimate divine destiny? Adapt a new middle name: ‘FOLLOW-FOLLOW’.

Begin to follow leaders in the different areas you wish to excel in. I do not refer to the blind, ego-stroking, sycophantic, worship of supposedly ‘successful’ but fake people! I mean a beautiful, humble and respectful ‘mentor-mentee’ relationship based on an authentic exchange of values because we are all INTRINSICALLY VALUABLE!

take actionYour environment either shapes you or you adapt to it. Very few people have succeeded in shaping their environments. So be careful of what and who you are allowing into your space.

Learn from mentors and role models around you, adapt their principles, strategies and and apply them in your life. Yes, it is possible, you can CHOOSE to follow your way to GREATNESS.

First, seek intellectual knowledge and then, second, experiential knowledge (wisdom) by simply taking focused, consistent and aligned ACTION steps! (In the conjugation of life’s verbs, ‘TO DO’ is always more powerful than ‘to say’.

In the words of Tony Robbins: “You simply become who you spend time with. The quality of your life is proportional to the quality of your relationships.” Therefore, it is important to model other people who are already exemplary in different aspects of their behaviours, habits, characters etc.

Add these to your ‘TO DO’ list this week:

1. Identify and write down 3 key areas you wish to grow and develop in (They may be in your professional/personal life);

2. Identify 3 role models/mentors who are at the top of their game in these areas;

3. Follow them! Join their mailing lists, sign up for their webinars, seminars, workshops, events etc.

4. Each week, apply at least one learning from mentors/coaches to your life;

5. Keep on practicing what you’ve learned until it becomes a part of your neurology i.e. you cannot help but just do it!

6. Teach what you’ve learned to others (or at least one person). When we teach, we re-install all the learnings and consolidate them in our lives. So share everything you know with as much people as you can!

7. Celebrate your journey, and rejoice over every single milestone. Reflect, reassess and revamp the process and keep the learning window always open. There is always more….make room in your heart, mind, spirit and soul to keep learning, growing and evolving. When we stop growing, we are dead! *Note that as you grow and transform, your list of role models also evolves.

In the words of Jim Rohn: ‘The greatest room in the world is the room for self improvement.”

Send us an email (wholewomannetworkinc@gmail.com or info@wholewomannetwork.com), with your top 3 most important role models/mentors. As always, WWN will give away 3 motivational/inspirational books at the end of the month to three lucky participants.

(Our 3 picks are: Brene Brown’s ‘Gift of Imperfection’, Malcolm Gladwell’s David and Goliath’, and Paulo Coelho’s ‘Manuscript found in Accra’). Remember, life is a wonderful game and a wonderful daring adventure, it all depends on HOW you choose to look at it! Dare to play at 100% or NOT at all! Have fun and Good luck. Enjoy your journey to greatness!!!

9 Simple Steps to Take Control of Your Life and Create the Life of Your Dreams!

Habit“The true secret of happiness lies in taking a genuine interest in all the details of daily life.” ~ William Morris~

A while ago, I attended the laptop Millionaire summit hosted by Mark Anastasi, New York Times Bestselling Author of ‘The Laptop Millionaire.’

It was an exciting, insightful and empowering experience as Mark and his team shared valuable information on using social media marketing campaigns, effectively, to grow your business prospect lists and client base!

He also shared a 9-point list of simple yet powerful strategies/tips to take control of life and create the life of your dreams. Here’s the list below:

1. Have clarity on what you want and focus on exactly what you want, only what you want. Zone out and ignore everything else!

2. Take personal responsibility for your present chaos, drama or stuck state.

3. Know your expected and projected outcomes. Reverse engineer your steps.

4. Change your focus if what you’re currently doing is not getting you the results you desire. Intended

5. Brainstorm and come up with 100 solutions. Have many ideas and different options.

6. Become more resourceful; unlock your own inner creativity. Write down 20 things you are grateful for and 20 things you love about yourself.

7. Do not be afraid to ask for help. Ask for guidance, seek a coach and/or mentor whom you trust.

8. If you’re not where you want to be, if you don’t look, hear, see, and feel your vision for yourself, know that it’s probably time to change your peer group.

9. Take massive, intelligent and disciplined action steps. Stretch yourself. Become comfortable with discomfort.

And most importantly, take good care of your health! Accept, love and celebrate your body, it is your vessel of life.

Have an awesome weekend, everyone and remember to take ACTION steps that are aligned with your core values.

“I do not want to foresee the future. I am more concerned about taking care of the present moment. God has given me no control over the moment following.” ~Mahatma Ghandi~

DAY 21: Take ACTION and Transform Your Life!

courage“The old way of thinking is as if you were the lowly servant of a king or the daughter of a slave. This old way is built on a fallacy and pre-supposes that you are broken and incomplete. It’s a new dawn. The new message is that you are and have always been the daughter of a KING.

You are whole and complete. It is based on an eternal TRUTH! This is the season to return to wholeness. Step into your magnificence. Greatness resides in YOU! The world is waiting for you.” ~Excerpt from the upcoming book: ‘UN-Locking Your HeArt of Leadership’~

WWN Reflection DAY 21: Take ACTION and Transform Your Life!

The focus today is on telling yourself EMPOWERING stories!
All change, all learning, all growth is mainly done on an unconscious level. Be mindful, therefore, of the stories you feed your unconscious mind and the movies you play in your head. Tell yourself wonderful stories. Tell stories with a sole purpose of getting something positive out of it. The stories start in your head. The most important conversations are the ones you have with yourself.

Explore the learning, growth and idea in each story and apply the principles to make your life better. Events are events, your interpretation of the event is your story. Tell stories that move you in the direction of your purpose. The story is merely a story, how you tell it is more important!

your storiesTell stories about yourself and others that empower and not dis-empower you! Get out of the victim mode! Your past is your past! Acknowledge the story, acknowledge the pain, re-frame it and simply DECIDE to let it go. Tell stories about yourself and others that have solutions. Tell stories that bring you to light. Come out of the darkness. We co-create our own hell or heaven. Everything depends on our perspective. It is always a choice.

You live out the stories in your head! Be gentle with yourself and others. We are all reflections of one another, we are here to learn from one another, period. Tell stories that will add to the process of your continuous growth. No one is better than the other.Worst enemy

Everyone is equal. Life is a game and we are all still figuring it out. No one has all the answers, the key is to keep asking questions and re-framing your stories. As long as you are alive, your stories are never done, they are constantly evolving. When we’re done, we’re basically dead!

Some people are here to  teach us  life lessons, so that we may also teach and pass it on to others. So every painful or difficult experience happens to make us grow and become a beacon of hope to others. Stop looking back, stop looking down, you are not going that way! Look up and look forward, the future awaits and you get to write the script and direct the movie of your life story!

FOCUS on what you want and say it exactly how you want it. For every single thing that has form was once formless, i.e. a mere thought. Guard your thoughts and your words, for soon they manifest into reality.

Negative thoughtsChannel ALL your energy to create the reality that you desire. Stop filling up your minds with thoughts that are at cross-purpose with your destiny! You are a co-creator with God, you are living out a script written by your own hands. Yes, HE has given you that much power! God’s made you co-heirs and co-creators of his kingdom.

So step out in courage and follow your heart, intuition, unconscious mind and that still, quiet whisper within. Take ACTION towards a Healthier, Sexier, Wealthier YOU! To do otherwise is to selfishly rob the world of a precious gift. Play at 100%, and give life your all or don’t play at all. The world will all be better for having, knowing and experiencing ALL of you. Yes, you are that awesome!

You already have enough, be content and be grateful. Create the paradise that you desire NOW. And it is important to understand that you possess the innate, divine ability to create more, should you need more in life. There are unique gifts, talents and skills you possess that the world is waiting to pay for! It is simply an exchange of values from you and the universe and it is ALWAYS in synchronistic balance.

The caveat is that everything must be to God’s glory and to serve/love your neighbours. It must be ecological, a WIN-WIN-WIN balance; for self, for others and for the planet as a whole. WE are all connected! We are all ONE! So direct your thoughts to align with your vision and dreams. Dream BIG, it doesn’t cost you a single cent or kobo! 🙂

ThoughtsRemember, whatever you have in your physical universe is a reflection of the thoughts and (in)actions that you have taken in the past. It is your evidence procedure. It does not lie! So you get to choose and co-create your reality every single moment. You get to be ‘right’ whichever path you take. Life is truly a self-fulfilling prophesy! So ask yourself: ‘Am I congruent in my patterns of words-thoughts-actions?’

Have a thoughtful, reflective day!

Is Whole Woman Network’s Total Transformation and Leadership-Coaching Program for you?

At Whole Woman Network, our coaching/training approach is based on the premise of self-leadership, self-responsibility and self-accountability. Until we can lead ourselves, it is futile to attempt to lead or influence others. It is a faith-based, result-oriented, holistic, inside-out approach that delves into the root causes of problems. The focus is simply to get you to a ‘solutions zone’. It is based on the premise that YOU are already whole and complete and simply need to be reminded. You have the answers within you and all we do is ask the right questions to trigger that which is inherent in you. Are you ready to un-lock your heArt of leadership?

Day 20: Take ACTION and Transform Your Life!

winnersQuestions of the day: Are you pursuing a life of excellence or settling for a life of mediocrity? Do you want kick ass results in your life? Are you ready to take quantum leaps to get to your goals? Are you willing and committed to deploy your resources in pursuit of your purpose? Are you surrounding yourself with the right role models, mentors and coaches in your bid to soar and be the best version of you possible?

WWN Reflection DAY 20: Take ACTION and Transform Your Life!

Sometimes we forget that we are never alone and we do not have to go the distance all by ourselves. We are blessed with the unique ability of ASKING and also RECEIVING. There are always resources around us that we can tap into. The universe is always in flow, and if we surrender and flow with it, we would be amazed at the synchronicity and abundance it offers. Great leaders know how and when to resource for the ‘fuel’ they need.

In the world of sports, is acknowledged that hardly anyone ever made it to the play-offs or olympics alone, without a support system made of family, friends, mentors, role models and coaches. Our dreams and goals have ripple effect on those around us. As we live our purpose, we inspire and empower others to do the same. It is our responsibility to reach out and ask for help in order to harness our skills, develop our abilities and polish our unique talents. Do you have positive and empowering role models/mentors/coaches in all areas of your life?

Ask for help Imagine for a moment, that your life journey is the major olympics and you only have just one shot at it. Do you have a solid team behind you? Is your supper system firmly in place or are you carrying around the baggage of naysayers, who pull you down and kill your dreams with their thoughts, words, attitude, actions, inactions? Remember, anyone who does not add value or move you in the direction of your purpose serves no purpose in your life.

The paradox is that we are all intrinsicly connected and so, everyone you encounter has a purpose in your life. The key to unlocking their role lies in your hands. The more you become aware of who you are and what your purpose is, the more you become empowered in how you exchange energy and value with everyone around you.

You have the power to co-create what you need/want, the mystery is in surrendering and allowing life to happen, opening up your hearts and minds to your creators design for you, asking the right questions, courageously taking consistent action inspire of your fears, aligning what you are doing with who you are being and asking for help, inspiration and guidance from God and seeing his glory in everything and everyone around you!

Here are 7 reasons why you may consider getting role models/mentors/coaches:

1. Monkey see, monkey do! The more you model excellent behaviour, the more you begin to live a life of excellence! We are innately programmed to model and co-habit with others, the choice then becomes simply modelling the right behaviour, traits and values that you aspire towards.

learn and teach2. All learning, change and behaviour occurs at an unconscious level. There may be a myriad of things holding us from reaching our full potentials; limiting beliefs, glass ceilings/floors, Pandora box of negative emotions, culture, education, environment etc. Most often, they are outside of our conscious awareness and we need someone who really sees and believes our inner magnificence, is professional trained on the right modalities and strategies, and who can commit to our transformation, even when we are yet to commit and believe in ourselves.

3. Most human goals are achievable simply by following certain simple principles. For example, to lose weight and be healthy, all you really need to do are 3 major things: Eat healthy, Exercise regularly and Rest properly.  Another example, to have financial well-ness, you basically need to leave within your means, save and invest well.

Nearly everything else is a variation of these basic tripods. Yet, the irony is that what is simple is never quite easy. Hence the alarming rate of obesity and debt levels worldwide! The obvious common-sense principles are never quite common-sense practice because of the human factor a.k.a ‘Disciplined Habits’. We often need coaches to get us and keep us on track with our goals. They create an accountability system and enable us take action towards our results.

mentoring4. Role models show us that it is possible and they lead by example. They are not perfect, they simply choose to triumph by accepting their imperfections, they share their truth and show us how to live with authenticity and integrity.

Mentors share their years of experience, including their successes and failures. They share principles that we may adopt and adapt. Of what use is re-inventing the wheel, when we can build upon what has been established? Why suffer to build new tracks, when existing pathways are already laid out for us?

Coaches act as tour guides in our journey of life. They ask the questions that hopefully lead you to your answers in finding your unique truth. They enable us explore and expand our model of the world and to communicate and live our truth. They open up our senses and create a sense of awareness in us about the different parts that are in conflict within us, that is, parts that are not congruent. They introduce us to and equip us with the necessary tools in order to align our most unconscious programs and values with who we really are.

confidence5. Sometimes, different events in our life phases can lead to a feeling of being stuck, burnt out, stressed out and/or depressed. Human beings often resist change and fall into the trap of the imaginary ‘comfort zone’. This can be likened to sitting on the fence, going neither here nor there. It is living life in the grey zone, seeming taking action but getting to no-where land!

Events such as child-birth, change of job, location change (immigration), severe financial stress, death, marriage, divorce, job loss, rape, assault, or illness are examples of changes that may disrupt our sense of direction or purpose. Notice that even though some of these changes may be happy events, if the changes that follow are not properly handled or adapted to, they may lead to minor or major negative states or conditions. At these critical periods, the value of a great coach is often priceless.

control6. Every human being is unique, with special strengths, abilities, talents, skills and approach to life. The whole point is not to play the compare and contrast game with others. Coaches are able to elicit what is fundamentally original about you. They help you discover hidden/forgotten strengths. It is a dynamic process and not a prescriptive one based on recommendations. The journey is different for everyone. The answers are already within you.

In essence, coaches shift your focus from a defeatist attitude of looking at the grass over the fence and thinking it greener to looking inwards to your own garden and spending all your resources sowing, weeding, nurturing and harvesting your own fruits. It is the whole journey and not simply the harvesting that creates the transformation.

7. Change is permanent. We are always in flux. We live in a world that is constantly evolving. New technologies, regulations, opportunities are always emerging. The world is now a marketplace filled with information overload. Everything is almost a ‘google-click-away!’ We are always changing, growing and transforming. Like layers of an onion, each day we acquire new knowledge, awareness and insights. As we adapt to the changes within and outside of us, sometimes, things may become overwhelming and processing the conflicting information directed at our senses may lead to feelings of being trapped and stripped of choices.

Great coaches look way beyond the surface structure of your words and behaviours. They are able to draw a distinction between who you are and your behaviour. A coach’s role is to elicit deeper questions to uncover multiple options and choices available to us. They also install new strategies to drive the new behaviours that will lead to better habits in our pursuit for excellence.

FutureThey engage, educate and empower us to achieve the results we seek. Coaches are caring of our dreams and totally uncaring of our excuses! They see our magnificence and have no interest in our game of pretence! So are you willing and ready to transform your life OR are you pretending to want to transform your life? Coaches calibrate on your behaviour. Talk is cheap, ACTION speaks, and eloquently too!

Great coaches re-focus us to be at cause and take ownership of our responses and outcomes, rather than being at effect and stuck in the vicious patterns of excuses, blaming and complaining! A coach opens us up to the inherent creative source within us. Do you want to take a shot at the great olympics called life? Do you want results and not reasons? Are you tired of getting by and you wish to soar? Then, take a chance and bet on your dreams, hire a great coach today and lead yourself to a life of excellence! Once you’ve been gifted with the blessings of having great role models, mentors and coaches, remember the laws of gratitude and reciprocity, pay it forward and shine/share your light and learnings with someone else.

DAY 15: Take ACTION and Transform Your Life!

SuccessQuestions of the day: Every single encounter is an exchange of energy and values. How are we choosing to exchange our essence with the people and world around us? Are we in the driver’s seat or are we letting life jerk us around? Are we choosing to take action and change the trajectory of our lives if we do not like we’re at or are we attached to being ‘right’ and miserably stuck in our ‘safe’ world. Are you ready to take a good risk and bet on yourself, on your dreams, on your passions and on your purpose?

Are we taking back our power and acting in consonance with we say we are: co-heirs and beloved children of a loving God and creator or are we choosing to be dis-connected from our source and dis-empowered as we stumble through life?

FutureAre we owning who we are or are we exchanging our core and settling for the fallacy for who the world defines us to be?

At the core of our transformational Training, Leadership and Coaching programs at Whole Woman Network, are principles of Self-Love, Self-Accountability and Self-Leadership. You have the unique gift and ability to co-create your life and design your destiny. Own  and embrace it!

WWN Reflection DAY 15: Take ACTION and Transform Your Life!

We are now officially past the half-way mark on our 30-day challenge, hurrah! Take some time to celebrate YOU, the changes you’ve embraced, the action steps you’re taking and the new person you’re becoming.  14 days ago, we invited you to join us as we share simple reflections and hopefully engage, educate and empower you to take ACTION towards a Healthier, Sexier, Wealthier YOU! Again, we ask you that even if you’ve heard, seen, read or felt these words before, open up your hearts and minds and experience them all over again. Dare to see yourself in a brand new, beautiful light!”

HappinessLet’s revisit the questions we asked you on day 1 of the challenge: What 3 area(s) of your life do you wish to improve the most? What 3 area(s) would have the most impact on all other areas of your life?

  • Faith & Spirituality?
  • Health & Wellness?
  • Family & Relationship?
  • Career & Business?
  • Beauty & Self-Image
  • Fun & Leisure
  • Personal Development & Growth
  • Financial Well-being & Prosperity?
  • Community & Social Responsibility?
  • YOU! Your Dreams, Passions and Purpose?

DreamAs long as you are taking consistent action, you are making progress towards your goals. You may not see the results immediately, however, after a period of time, they will begin to manifest in your physical world.

At an unconscious level, as we change and build new habits and values for the better, our entire neurology also changes and most often we begin to see these results in our reality within a minimum of 90 days. Dream big and take bigger action steps. In the conjugation of life’s verbs, ‘TO DO’ is far more powerful than to say, to think, to dream, or to plan. Take ACTION today, period!

The choice to either change/grow or sit on the toxic fence of life is yours. That’s the beauty of life, the ability to exercise our power of choice. Use it well, do not waste this gift of starting afresh every day, with new awareness and insights. Having it all does not mean being perfect, rather, it about authenticity, it is about being real. It is about being the best you in this moment and trusting that as you grow and know differently, your choices will reflect your new values in life.

Tragedy and PurposeAs long as we are committed to sharing, healing, creating, learning, growth and fulfilling our purpose in life, our journey becomes an interesting experience and we begin to see life as a visual mosaic of vibrant colours. One of our greatest gifts becomes our ability to shift how we see, feel, taste and hear our inner music lost within the clutter of noise constantly bombarding from the outside world.

Suddenly the people/situations/things/words/events that seemed challenging to us or were triggers to our vicious patterns of pain, hurt, anger, guilt, despair, depression, shame etc. simply lose their power and we embrace life and its ups and downs for what it is: life simply happening. We cease to take things so personally as we see other people as reflections of us and embrace connectedness in our joys, triumphs, passions and even in our pains.

2 ThingsHow we choose to experience our time on earth becomes clearer the more we realize that indeed everything works for good. It is our duty to pay attention to the patterns and the cycles of our lives. The more we become present and pay attention to our patterns of words-thoughts-actions, who we surround ourselves with, what we read and listen to, the more we master ourselves and lead ourself to become the magnificent beings we are.

So reflect and take action on your learnings. Focus on each day and give it all you’ve got. Do everything with a little ‘extra’, you are blessed with a well of unconditional love. Tap into it! It is the little things that matter because those little habits of excellence when cultivated are the difference between and ordinary and EXTRA-ordinary life!

Create and live your best life NOW because life is simply a series of NOWs and all you’ll ever have at each moment of life is NOW! Have a fabulous and  awesome weekend and a blessed week ahead. Set your intentions and then take congruent ACTION to manifest them! Look good, do good and feel good!
