A Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays from all of us at Whole Woman Network

What an amazing, eventful and exciting year it’s been! From all of us at Whole Woman Network, we wish you and your families a very MERRY & BLESSED CHRISTMAS. Thank you for making this year a truly blessed and beautiful experience.Blessed Christmas

This Christmas season, we urge you to celebrate, rejoice and reflect on the saviour’s coming. He came for this purpose: to create a new world based on unconditional love and to bring love, healing and redemption to each and every one of us. In essence, to remind us that we are WORTHY!

Think about it! Who are you in Christ? What is your purpose on this earth? Why are you really here? How can you begin to fulfil your destiny?

We all pray for long and healthy life, however, some people alive in the world today may not see another Christmas. These are sobering thoughts but they are also the truth.

I heard of the shocking death of a loved one yesterday (Christmas eve), and it gave me reason to pause and seriously reflect about my life, my purpose and personal goals, going forward. So for close to four hours, I wrote down key highlights of my life thus far and significant emotional events that align with the core of who I perceive myself and my purpose to be. Hmmmnn, all I can say is, it was a phenomenally cathartic experience, that led me through a gamut of emotions; angry, sad, hurt, guilt, shame, fear, drain, and then, excited, hopeful, joyous, loved, empowered and free!

GloryIn this moment, write down what you think your purpose is. It will guide and channel your thoughts, words, actions in all your interactions going forward.

It can be simply to love your family, to be the best father, mother, daughter, sister, friend, cousin, niece, nephew, god-parent, colleague, community member, citizen etc.

Then, simply write down what type of person you want to be as you fulfill your different roles in life. Ask yourself what your core values are and what principles you hold sacrosanct and sacred. What are your responsibilities and what gives you the most joy and peace? How congruent are you with your values? Are your actions aligned with who you wish to be?

The purpose of this exercise is not for self-flagellation or to beat yourself up, rather it is to celebrate your awareness of who you think you are verses who you are being, now, in this moment. It is to bring your attention to important things about yourself that you should be focusing on. We often get caught up in the ‘busy-ness’ of life that we forget to actually LIVE.

This reflection is simply to get you to re-connect with who you desire to be and to  re-introduce you back to yourself so that you can re-discover the unique, magnificent and whole being that you are. You are a beloved child of God, created in love, moulded with love and redeemed through love. You are a being of love and light. Your purpose is to share this with the world in everything you do.

I asked myself the same questions and this is a very short summary of what I came up with: I am passionate about Engaging, Educating and Empowering people to connect with their purpose, step into their personal power and take ACTION by living passionately in their lives, work, business and community.

I love connecting with people, meaningfully and deeply and coaching myself and others to OWN both our awesomeness and our crap, because it all makes us unique.

I am passionate not just merely about change, but really about TRANSFORMATION. I love coaching, training and empowering people on transformational self-leadership, so that they are living every single day with purpose, on purpose.

I am also passionate about asking questions that lead people to uncover the magnificence buried deep within themselves. I love being a tour guide & bridge for others, on their journey to wholeness and completeness. I am passionate about collaborating, with synergy, so that we can all create, heal, transform, serve, love, inspire, celebrate & live the best versions of our lives each day e are blessed to be on earth.

I believe that empowered people create empowered families and societies. I believe that we are each powerful beyond belief and once we decide to take action in alignment with our core, we shall be unstoppable agents of transformation.

My purpose is to create advanced awareness and empower myself and others to transform and live with authenticity, purpose, passion & power, in work and life. I train, coach, speak on how people can make empowered and informed choices in different areas of their lives.

My focus is to create congruence and authenticity in how people live their lives. I draw upon my over 18 years experience across multi-disciplinary fields; Engineering, Investment & Finance, International Business, Coaching & Training. I train and speak on such topics such as Work-Life choices, Financial Literacy, Creating empowered Relationships, How to have success in a Value-Based, Empathy-Driven Economy, Sustainability in work and life, Entrepreneurship with Heart, Fusing Passion and Profit, Finding your Purpose by embracing your passions and pains, etc.

My purpose is to create experiential platforms of learning by collaborating and connecting with different individuals and groups, with a common vision to transform ourselves and our society for the greater good.

This is My Philosophy: “It is a fallacy to believe that we are fractured or broken; the truth is that we are enough, indeed, we are whole and complete. Our life’s journey then becomes a return to WHOLENESS. We are here to heal, create, serve, celebrate, surrender, soar, love and simply BE and B.E.A.M: Be Everything And More! Embrace your passions and your pains. Own your awesomeness and magnificence. Also, own your vulnerability, imperfections and your crap! Each day, embrace experiential growth and a spiritual awakening. Own your divinity and your humanity! Lead yourself; dare to transform and see your life in a whole new light.”

Again, from all of us at Whole Woman Network, we wish you a wonderful Christmas and may the grace and love of Jesus Christ abide with you and fill you with light, peace, excellent health, abundance and joy!

Day 20: Take ACTION and Transform Your Life!

winnersQuestions of the day: Are you pursuing a life of excellence or settling for a life of mediocrity? Do you want kick ass results in your life? Are you ready to take quantum leaps to get to your goals? Are you willing and committed to deploy your resources in pursuit of your purpose? Are you surrounding yourself with the right role models, mentors and coaches in your bid to soar and be the best version of you possible?

WWN Reflection DAY 20: Take ACTION and Transform Your Life!

Sometimes we forget that we are never alone and we do not have to go the distance all by ourselves. We are blessed with the unique ability of ASKING and also RECEIVING. There are always resources around us that we can tap into. The universe is always in flow, and if we surrender and flow with it, we would be amazed at the synchronicity and abundance it offers. Great leaders know how and when to resource for the ‘fuel’ they need.

In the world of sports, is acknowledged that hardly anyone ever made it to the play-offs or olympics alone, without a support system made of family, friends, mentors, role models and coaches. Our dreams and goals have ripple effect on those around us. As we live our purpose, we inspire and empower others to do the same. It is our responsibility to reach out and ask for help in order to harness our skills, develop our abilities and polish our unique talents. Do you have positive and empowering role models/mentors/coaches in all areas of your life?

Ask for help Imagine for a moment, that your life journey is the major olympics and you only have just one shot at it. Do you have a solid team behind you? Is your supper system firmly in place or are you carrying around the baggage of naysayers, who pull you down and kill your dreams with their thoughts, words, attitude, actions, inactions? Remember, anyone who does not add value or move you in the direction of your purpose serves no purpose in your life.

The paradox is that we are all intrinsicly connected and so, everyone you encounter has a purpose in your life. The key to unlocking their role lies in your hands. The more you become aware of who you are and what your purpose is, the more you become empowered in how you exchange energy and value with everyone around you.

You have the power to co-create what you need/want, the mystery is in surrendering and allowing life to happen, opening up your hearts and minds to your creators design for you, asking the right questions, courageously taking consistent action inspire of your fears, aligning what you are doing with who you are being and asking for help, inspiration and guidance from God and seeing his glory in everything and everyone around you!

Here are 7 reasons why you may consider getting role models/mentors/coaches:

1. Monkey see, monkey do! The more you model excellent behaviour, the more you begin to live a life of excellence! We are innately programmed to model and co-habit with others, the choice then becomes simply modelling the right behaviour, traits and values that you aspire towards.

learn and teach2. All learning, change and behaviour occurs at an unconscious level. There may be a myriad of things holding us from reaching our full potentials; limiting beliefs, glass ceilings/floors, Pandora box of negative emotions, culture, education, environment etc. Most often, they are outside of our conscious awareness and we need someone who really sees and believes our inner magnificence, is professional trained on the right modalities and strategies, and who can commit to our transformation, even when we are yet to commit and believe in ourselves.

3. Most human goals are achievable simply by following certain simple principles. For example, to lose weight and be healthy, all you really need to do are 3 major things: Eat healthy, Exercise regularly and Rest properly.  Another example, to have financial well-ness, you basically need to leave within your means, save and invest well.

Nearly everything else is a variation of these basic tripods. Yet, the irony is that what is simple is never quite easy. Hence the alarming rate of obesity and debt levels worldwide! The obvious common-sense principles are never quite common-sense practice because of the human factor a.k.a ‘Disciplined Habits’. We often need coaches to get us and keep us on track with our goals. They create an accountability system and enable us take action towards our results.

mentoring4. Role models show us that it is possible and they lead by example. They are not perfect, they simply choose to triumph by accepting their imperfections, they share their truth and show us how to live with authenticity and integrity.

Mentors share their years of experience, including their successes and failures. They share principles that we may adopt and adapt. Of what use is re-inventing the wheel, when we can build upon what has been established? Why suffer to build new tracks, when existing pathways are already laid out for us?

Coaches act as tour guides in our journey of life. They ask the questions that hopefully lead you to your answers in finding your unique truth. They enable us explore and expand our model of the world and to communicate and live our truth. They open up our senses and create a sense of awareness in us about the different parts that are in conflict within us, that is, parts that are not congruent. They introduce us to and equip us with the necessary tools in order to align our most unconscious programs and values with who we really are.

confidence5. Sometimes, different events in our life phases can lead to a feeling of being stuck, burnt out, stressed out and/or depressed. Human beings often resist change and fall into the trap of the imaginary ‘comfort zone’. This can be likened to sitting on the fence, going neither here nor there. It is living life in the grey zone, seeming taking action but getting to no-where land!

Events such as child-birth, change of job, location change (immigration), severe financial stress, death, marriage, divorce, job loss, rape, assault, or illness are examples of changes that may disrupt our sense of direction or purpose. Notice that even though some of these changes may be happy events, if the changes that follow are not properly handled or adapted to, they may lead to minor or major negative states or conditions. At these critical periods, the value of a great coach is often priceless.

control6. Every human being is unique, with special strengths, abilities, talents, skills and approach to life. The whole point is not to play the compare and contrast game with others. Coaches are able to elicit what is fundamentally original about you. They help you discover hidden/forgotten strengths. It is a dynamic process and not a prescriptive one based on recommendations. The journey is different for everyone. The answers are already within you.

In essence, coaches shift your focus from a defeatist attitude of looking at the grass over the fence and thinking it greener to looking inwards to your own garden and spending all your resources sowing, weeding, nurturing and harvesting your own fruits. It is the whole journey and not simply the harvesting that creates the transformation.

7. Change is permanent. We are always in flux. We live in a world that is constantly evolving. New technologies, regulations, opportunities are always emerging. The world is now a marketplace filled with information overload. Everything is almost a ‘google-click-away!’ We are always changing, growing and transforming. Like layers of an onion, each day we acquire new knowledge, awareness and insights. As we adapt to the changes within and outside of us, sometimes, things may become overwhelming and processing the conflicting information directed at our senses may lead to feelings of being trapped and stripped of choices.

Great coaches look way beyond the surface structure of your words and behaviours. They are able to draw a distinction between who you are and your behaviour. A coach’s role is to elicit deeper questions to uncover multiple options and choices available to us. They also install new strategies to drive the new behaviours that will lead to better habits in our pursuit for excellence.

FutureThey engage, educate and empower us to achieve the results we seek. Coaches are caring of our dreams and totally uncaring of our excuses! They see our magnificence and have no interest in our game of pretence! So are you willing and ready to transform your life OR are you pretending to want to transform your life? Coaches calibrate on your behaviour. Talk is cheap, ACTION speaks, and eloquently too!

Great coaches re-focus us to be at cause and take ownership of our responses and outcomes, rather than being at effect and stuck in the vicious patterns of excuses, blaming and complaining! A coach opens us up to the inherent creative source within us. Do you want to take a shot at the great olympics called life? Do you want results and not reasons? Are you tired of getting by and you wish to soar? Then, take a chance and bet on your dreams, hire a great coach today and lead yourself to a life of excellence! Once you’ve been gifted with the blessings of having great role models, mentors and coaches, remember the laws of gratitude and reciprocity, pay it forward and shine/share your light and learnings with someone else.

Note: WWN offers 1-hour complimentary coaching sessions to 3 lucky individuals every Monday, between 11.30 am to 2.30 pm EST. Simply send an email with your name, location and telephone number to info@wholewomannetwork.com. Requests are on a first come basis.

DAY 19: Take ACTION and Transform Your Life!

Tragedy and PurposeThis post is inspired by Carol W.C, who asked a simple, yet profound question on our Facebook page: ‘How do I discover my purpose?

Questions of the Day: How do I discover my purpose? What if I’m not sure of what my talents or abilities are? What if I’m not passionate about anything? What if I’m talented and skilled at many different things, how do I narrow my focus? Where are you spending your resources? Where and what are your thoughts on most of the time? What makes life worth living?

WWN Reflection DAY 19: Take ACTION and Transform Your Life!

Here are 10 points to think about:

1. Your purpose is tied to your PASSIONS and PAINS. Most often we focus on only the passion and miss out the power hidden in our pain. Tragedy can be transformed to purpose and power.

2. PASSIONS: What you’re passionate about, who and what are the people, things, projects, topics you absolutely love and never get tired of, what do you truly, deeply enjoy? What makes your heart sing, your spirit soar, what energizes you and gives you bursts of creativity?
PAIN: What keeps you up at night, what stirs your spirit, what moves you to tears, what breaks your heart open, what kills your soul?

Two Days3. To discover your purpose, you may also want to start reflecting on your whole life journey so far. What Significant Emotional Events (SEEs), happened in your life at different critical stages: From birth to 8 years, From 8 to 14 years, from 14 to 21 years, from 21 to 28 years,  28 to 35 years, 35 to 42 years, 42 to 55 years, 55 to 65 years etc. Search for the key learnings, and events that bring up strong feelings of anger, sadness, fear, hurt, guilt, regret, shame AND feelings of indescribable joy, worthiness, love, and fulfilment. These SEEs reflect a pattern, a theme, a direction to your purpose. If there are things that still need resolution, perhaps those are areas to start from.

4.Begin to really reflect on those experiences from # 3. above and going forward, look for patterns in what you did and experienced in life in the past and relate them to your present behaviour, strategies and approach to life. Pay attention to the common themes and triggers.

5. How can you best serve and add value to yourself, family, colleagues, community, humanity? What are you really good at? What unique talents and abilities do you have? Do an audit of all your skill set and then reflect on your talents, no matter how small (all the things you do exceptionally well, easily and effortlessly). “The desire to reach for the stars is ambitious, the desire to reach HEARTS is wise.” ~Maya Angelou~

6. Read books about living a life of purpose, a good recommendation is  Rick Warren’s PURPOSE DRIVEN LIFE.

7. Begin to develop yourself, skills, and surround yourself with people who are living the life you aspire to. What do you dream of becoming if you had all the money, energy and time in the world? Seek people already living that truth and learn from them. Perhaps, their light will ignite your own fire!

8. Everything you do now is tied to your purpose, live everyday as if it is the most significant day in your life. Add extra effort to everything you do. Be purposeful in your use of time, money, energy, words, thoughts. Your bigger purpose is tied to your smaller goals and dreams. Show up and be present in your life, with your family, friends and community. Play at 100% and your purpose slowly reveal itself with each step you take. Most people erroneously think that their purpose in life will be revealed as an epiphany, with heavenly lights and signs/wonders. I think that perhaps, our purpose is not a big bang that suddenly hits us, rather it is continuous journey that reveals itself to those who take it one step, each day at a time. “Take a single step and the path will reveal itself.” ~James MacNeil~

9. Reverse engineer your life. That is, imagine that you are now say 100 years old, at the end of your life, what are the important things you want to be remembered for by your family, friends, community and society? If you had no limitations in terms of time, money, energy, what life would you rather be living? Your passion may be tied to your answer. Your task is now to figure out a way to actually start living it NOW!

10. At the heart of discovering our purpose is to understand that we live in a physical reality and we are here to share, create, heal, connect and serve one another. There must be an exchange of value that takes place and a compensation in exchange for the value that is created. Do the little things with 100% commitment, passion and heart. Simply mind your business and live life fully and completely. Give it everything you’ve got. Your purpose WILL show up!
