DAY 16: Take ACTION and Transform Your Life!

BeautifulQuestions of the day: Everyday you wake up, ask yourself these very simple questions-“How do I become the story I want told?”, “What must I do today to BE the person I’ve always dreamed of becoming?”, “How do I become the person who accomplishes my goals?”, “If I had only today, how will I live today to reflect my gratitude and appreciation for the gift and miracle of life?”, “How do I fulfil my purpose and serve my God and creator, myself, my family, colleagues, community, country, continent and planet?”

WWNetworkAfrica™ Reflection DAY 16: Take ACTION and Transform Your Life!

Today’s focus is on key reflective posts that I’d shared on WWN’s Facebook page over the last few weeks. They engaged our members and led to interesting conversations on our forums and weekly conference training calls/webinars. I hope that by reflecting on them and taking action, your life is better elevated, enriched and empowered! These posts are all excerpts from my upcoming book: UN-Locking Your HeArt of Leadership. Enjoy!

1. “Your purpose in life is not to ‘GET’, your purpose is simply to ‘GIVE’ and share your God-given talents, abilities and essence. Your life should reflect an integrated ‘value-exchange’ with the world around you.

In the pursuit of your purpose, there will be pain, mistakes and storms, that’s merely life happening. It is in these oscillating patterns of highs and lows that your character is formed. Pay particular attention to your ‘lows’, if you allow it, phenomenal growth happens during these periods. Life is not meant to be perfect.

Life is meant to be LIVED! Bask in the sacredness, mystery and beauty of life. Pay attention to your PAINS and MISTAKES, they exist and happen to teach you something very important to your purpose. If you are willing, patient and courageous to own them, embrace them and solve them, WISDOM shows up at the other end.”

2. “The beauty with love is that every time you open your heart to love, you also take the risk of getting your heart-broken, and you may experience agonizing hurt, disappointment and pain in the process. Love takes courage, that ability to share all that you are and also, the faith that you’re better off for having experienced it, regardless of the outcome. To live is to love, unconditionally. Love is freedom, it gives you fire to create, to share, to heal! May love always find you ready, open and willing!”

3. “It is amazing what incredible things begin to happen, as soon as you step out of the shadows into your light and actually SHOW UP and start living YOUR life and not someone else’s version of your life. Until we own our awesomeness and our crap, we run the danger of living a life of denial, anguish and pain. Suffering disintegrates in the face of acceptance and forgiveness. The moment we stop resisting and choose to start living, we unlock our hearts to the fullness of life all around us.

4. “Whatever you seek in your relationships, have clarity on what you want! Then, simply surround yourself with people who depict and live it. If you seek love, surround yourself with people who are IN love and LOVING to each other. Everything and everyone is energy! Their essence slowly rubs off on you. Monkey see, monkey do, so find the monkeys doing it the way(s) you aspire to and then learn from them!

Take the time to analyze all the relationships you’ve been surrounded by from childhood till now. Whether you believe it or not, they affected your perspective. You may need to UN-Learn certain traits, behaviours and characteristics. We’re like sponges, we soak up past experiences, consciously or unconsciously, and sometimes live it in our present lives, often, outside of our own awareness.

We are often predisposed to and soak up good or bad things in our culture, upbringing, education, religion, environment, career…Become more aware of the choices you make and the belief systems you hold. Ask yourself key questions. Develop a mindset that reflects who you are and what you value. Face and resolve your ‘stuff’ and your ‘crap’. Begin to replace undesirable behaviours and strategies with healthier ones. You can create the relationships of your dreams. Not perfect yet perfect for you! Take ACTION today!”

5. “Have the courage to succeed and also have the courage to fail. Have the courage to celebrate the highs and also embrace the lows. There’s duality in nature. Our lives follow  synchronistic patterns of mountains, plateaus and valleys. Your gratitude should flow and grow in ALL seasons.

EVERYTHING happens to move you in the direction of your purpose. Feel all your feelings. Accept the totality of who you are, ONLY then will your heart truly break open to ‘see’ others as a reflection of you and finally experience yourself as a true reflection of God!

Suffering ends when we stop fighting our reality and we begin to practice the beautiful principles of Surrendering, Allowing and Accepting that we are ENOUGH! We already have ENOUGH! And that we are WHOLE. The purpose of life, therefore, becomes the healing and transformational journey of ‘Returning to Wholeness’ and embracing who we always were and always will be: beloved children of a loving God, created to love and be loved, UNCONDITIONALLY!”

6. “A simple formula for getting what you want? Simply ASK! If that fails, try this instead: ASK AGAIN! (Not necessarily of the same person(s)). And do it with more preparation and reflection, a little better and wiser each time. Soon, that shut door will be opened.

Develop the skill-set of humble, purposeful, diligent and joyous ASKING irrespective of the outcome. Celebrate the truth that what you need will manifest exactly when it should and not a moment sooner or later. It is who we become in the process that is more important.”

7. “Little things can shift the trajectory of our lives. Do good! Look good! Feel good! Dare to ‘see’ yourself in a beautiful, brand new light. Enough of the ‘woe me’ stories, it is finally time to tell yourself and the world new ‘WOW me’ stories! You are the director of your life’s movie. If you don’t like what’s playing out in your reality, simply yell: “CUT!”

Then use the power of imagination, re-write the script and re-shoot. Every day is a new opportunity to play out the scenes you want. Give it your best shot today because you never know when the higher DIRECTOR will say “CUT” to your life! Everyday you wake up, is a day you may have died. Don’t waste your time. LIVE life to the fullest, all you really have is NOW!”

DAY 7: Take ACTION and Transform Your Life!

Maya“Stand up straight and realize who you are, that you tower over your circumstances. You are a child of God. Stand up straight.” ~Maya Angelou~

Questions of the Day: What if you simply DECIDED that this would be your best month ever? What if you consciously mentored, trained, coached and channeled EVERY thought, word, action you take this month with total focus towards WHO and WHAT you want in your life, your relationships, your business, your workplace and your community?

What if you identified and then with awareness, moved away from all your old patterns that put you in a place of negativity, pain, anger, chaos, sadness, helplessness and poverty? What if you tried something new? Like sharing all the love and passion and talents you have within you with those who matter in your life? What does the best version of YOU look like? What does the best version of your life look like? Begin to pursue these versions…

As we round off the first week of our 30-day challenge, we hope you’re experiencing wonderful blessings, new insights and a renewed sense of peace. May you dwell in an atmosphere of miracles, of faith and of awesome possibilities. Imagine that this month is a brand new slate and it is your chance to start afresh, with all you’ve learned in your life so far. Celebrate all your awareness and see them as opportunities to grow and transform.

At the core of our transformational Training, Leadership and Coaching programs at Whole Woman Network, are principles of Self-Love, Self-Accountability and Self-Leadership. You have the unique gift and ability to co-create your life and design your destiny with God. Own it!

WWN Reflection DAY 7: Take ACTION and Transform Your Life!

YOU have the power to co-create your destiny. I don’t say this lightly, again I repeat: YOU have the power to co-create your destiny! It is your God-given right and it is a free gift. You were born a leader but you must take responsibility for your life and ALWAYS strive to rise above the ‘crowd’ of ‘follow-follow’ mentality. The more original, authentic and aligned your thoughts, words and actions are, the more you will draw the right people and opportunities to you. People will buy whatever service or product you’re selling because it will come from an authentic place. You may fall many times, however, your strength lies in your ability to rise, dust it all off and continue on your path. Focus on the moment at hand and focus on the step you must take! “Take the next step and the path will reveal itself.” ~James MacNeil~

The world needs more ‘POSITIVE and AUTHENTIC Ambassadors.’ Are you ready to take your spot? This month, I challenge you to dwell on ALL that is good, unique, wonderful and unique about you. Focus on the fantastic things that have happened to you all your life thus far. Stop fighting for or justifying your limitations. You may get to be ‘right’, however, do you get to be joyous, healthy and prosperous? Focus on the learnings from challenging situations. Fuse these wonderful memories together and use them as an armour against all the negatives the world throws your way. The only reasons pain exists is to get your attention about what’s really important in your life and to give you the tools to empathize and empower others.

lonelinessWe are all connected. We are unique individuals and also part of a beautiful whole. We all face the SAME triumphs and challenges manifested in different forms. Until you can FEEL another’s pains, mistakes, challenges and betrayals and STILL ‘see’ them through eyes of love, you will continue to be held captive by your own walls.

You are so much stronger than your wildest imagination. Whatever the situation or circumstance you’re presently in, dig deep within you to find the strength within. The strength is within your soul, a living part of you that is way bigger than whatever challenge you face now or will ever face tomorrow. It transcends space and time. Your responsibility is to take the time to discover and know yourself better each day and also to sharpen your senses and ability to cope with whatever hand life deals you. The one thing that’s constant is that life comes with uncertainties, if not it wouldn’t be life.

Marcel proustYour relationships are keys to the quality of your existence and experience of the world. It starts with an intimate relationship with God, your creator and also an honest and deep relationship with yourself. Everything else flows from this. The foundation of our coping mechanism is determined to a large extent by the nature of our relationships with those in our closest circle.

Learn to set healthy boundaries and make peace with your parents, siblings, colleagues, spouses and children. We are social beings and are hard-wired to seek connection. Connect with others in a healthy way. Allow love to breathe in your relationships, avoid suffocating your primary relationships with guilt, shame, anger, hurt, pain and fault-finding. Change your lens and dare to ‘see’ yourself and your world in a beautiful, brand new light! YOU are responsible for how you exchange value with others around you. Are you a source of drain or empowerment? Are you cognizant of those who drain or uplift you?

I love this deeply layered quote below from Master Mentor, Coach and Trainer, Ernie Pavan:

“Relationships with Spouses (existing and/or ex) and Closest Family Members, Colleagues & Friends, are our biggest opportunities for transformation.

In the world of perception is projection, they become OR represent our deepest, innermost pains, fears, challenges, nightmares (or luckily, our goals and dreams), manifested alive.
So become more present. Pay ATTENTION to your life!

We come together, not by accident, but rather through a deliberate divine synchronism, to perhaps celebrate, share, heal, create, connect, build, unlock or become aware of something important in our lifetime.

Fix your pain and life will open up. If you’re willing to find and solve your pain, you will find your power, passion, purpose, profit and path. The reason your pain exists is to draw your attention to something important for your growth and to increase your ability to become a beacon of light for others around you.”
~ Ernie Pavan, Co-Founder, Human Potential International, HPI~

Give yourself permission to love yourself and make mistakes. This allows you to have room in your heart to love and be kind to others. Your quality of life is tied to your capacity for love. To love is always a choice! No one can break your spirit without your cooperation. The secret is to constantly seek the essence of the creator within you. You will achieve everything you set your heart on as long as you seek it from a place of  surrender, truth, humility and incredible focus.Smile

FORGIVENESS and ACCEPTANCE are twin-gifts we give to ourselves and those around us so that we can heal our seemingly fractured hearts and live full, whole lives. ‘Heaven on earth’ is the metaphor for a paradise we create through our personal approach and mindset, despite whatever ‘hell’ the harsh realities of life throw at us.

Your heaven is INSIDE of you. You CANNOT get it from things, titles, possessions or other people. It is an eternal spring that’s already there in you and your life’s purpose is to find it and share it with those around you, every day, in every single thing you do. You already have enough. You are enough. And should you need or want more, you have the unique ability and talent to create it. This is the heart of the master-frame of Co-creation.

Your purpose in life is not to ‘GET’, your purpose is simply to ‘GIVE’, ‘SHARE’ and ‘EXCHANGE VALUE’ with others. In the pursuit of your purpose, there will be pain, mistakes and storms, that’s simply life happening. It is in the oscillating patterns of highs and lows that your character is formed.

Pay particular attention to your ‘lows’, because if you allow it, these are the periods for extraordinary growth and transformation. Like a seed, we die first, in order to germinate, grow and bloom. Life is not meant to be perfect. Life is meant to be LIVED. The twin mystery and beauty of life is that it is IS and we are to simply BE. Life does not ‘happen’ to us, we are constantly co-creating and unveiling the life that unfolds. Yes, we are that powerful! We are, after all, children of a loving and powerful Creator.

Questions of the Day: “How big are your goals? Do you have a glass floor or glass ceiling on your goals? What would your life be like if you had the courage to be who you dream of becoming? What will you see, hear, feel, taste when your biggest goals are achieved? Do you realize you are the only one standing in the way of your goals and purpose? Do you know and fully comprehend the limitless possibilities that abound all around you? Are you plugged in to your source? Are you ready and willing to commit to your goals and grow? Remember, in the words of John C Maxwell, change happens in life whether we welcome it or not. Growth, however, is optional. We DECIDE to grow or stay stunted. Tony Robbins

WWN Reflection DAY 5: Take ACTION and Transform Your Life!

Today’s FOCUS is on the power of PERSONAL GOALS.

(i) Your goals are contracts you have with yourself. Your choice is either to honour them or break them. The consequences are different for each decision. You cannot have successful ‘contracts’ or relationships with others if you do not learn to honor your relationship with yourself. How you do one thing, invariably becomes how you do everything! Are your goals impotent or are they filled with the fire and sincerity of your being?

(ii) The biggest area in your life where you are afraid to take action on is most likely where you should be taking action! Taking action means the you made a commitment and backed it up with your resources and the universe knows to give you what you want. (Remember, whatever ye seek, ye shall find)! Are you really seeking or still sitting on the fence? A decision not to decide, is a decision in itself. If you are struggling or feeling stuck and trapped in any area of your life, perhaps you haven’t actually decided on what you want.

Journey(iii) According to the philosopher Kierkegaard, DISSATISFACTION in life is simply failing to take action steps that you know and have resolved within you that you should take. While DESPAIR is pretending to be someone else other than who you are. Who are you? Whose are you? Do you belong to yourself? to others? or to a loving Creator who can do ALL things? What is that necessary action step that you least want to do but you most have to do? Once you answer and decide on who and what YOU want, God works with the universe to make it happen.

(iv)  Imagine when a young child decides on a particular profession e.g. to become a doctor, teacher, dancer, artist etc. Once the decision is made from a point of truth faith, it seems like seamlessly ALL the actions and choices become aligned with their goal: how they spend their resources, and even their study/play/sleep patterns. Become a child again. Trust the power of imagination and consistent action. All you really ever have to worry about is NOW. Give the best you can in each moment and allow nature perfect her synchronicity. Every single goal can be reduced to what you do today, the actions you take in the NOW! Take the step for today. Show up and be fully present in your life, the path reveals itself with each step you take. Do not focus on the outcome or results, simply take the journey!

Unknown 1(v) ‘Made in HIS image’ is NOT a theory! The universe is a manifestation of you because you are one with God. You are a co-creator of your destiny. If you invest your time, money and energy, and back your ideas with passions and emotions, your goals will materialize. This is the perfect time to focus and channel everything you have (prayers, thoughts, words, actions) towards your goals.

vi) Pray hard and work harder towards your goals. If that fails, work hard and pray harder. At some point, critical mass occurs. Everything happens in the spiritual and takes root in the formless world, before it begins to form and manifest physically. Our biggest asset is FAITH however, DECISION precedes faith. You always have the power of choice. You can transform your life. You can change. It requires commitment, focus and self-discipline. As you read this,  you are changing and growing. Each day you take action, you are more beautiful, healthier and wealthier, now your task is the simply part: to actually LIVE IT!

Another key point regarding success in carrying out your goals is discipline. You must be consistent with your goals. Start small, make simple goals and carry them out. Begin to retrain your unconscious mind. Say something and actually follow with it. Show up when you RSVP. Pay your bills on time. Keep your promises. Explain ahead of time if you won’t and reschedule. When we are faithful with the little things, the bigger things show up naturally, because there are no ‘little’ things, there are simply BIG things broken down into seemingly small ones.

Your conscious mind is the go-setter, however your unconscious mind is the go-getter. All change, learning and behaviour is unconscious! The more you train your ‘goal muscles’, the more your unconscious mind will respect, cooperate and listen to you. Respect is reciprocal. A word, affirmation or goal released into the universe is an open loop. Keep your words and the universe will keep hers to you too. And the more easily and effortlessly your bigger goals will be accomplished.

Lead yourself to a life of excellence, success and joy. Regardless of the outcome, as long as you take consistent, committed steps in the direction of your life’s purpose, you WILL succeed because it is who you become in the journey that counts, not the end result. Life is a dynamic process, it is not static. The universe is always in flow, so flow with it, in the direction of your dreams. First, you have to DECIDE, get out of your own way and allow yourself to soar!
